Is this how blasto's propagate?

Over the past several weeks my blasto has started developing these soft "bubbles". I didn't know what to make of them, but more recently new heads are forming on these bubbles. These are soft and don't seem to have a skeleton underneath.

Is this a normal propagation pattern for blastos, or is something weird going on?

I guess I should ask if the bubble will break off and float away or if the bubble will stay in place and a skeleton will form underneath.

It will stay in place. The Blasto is growing outward.
