Is this ich? Or something else?

Was wondering seeing if this is ich. It appeared out of no where and never noticed any what spots before this to have grouped together to form a patch. Any help is greatly appreciated as we have recently lost a dear old dog and now my wife is freaking out thinking we are going to lose this fish!

Sorry I just read this again and noticed some typos. Any what spots = any WHITE spots.

Spots are too large for ich, looks fungal. It can also be brooks if it is actually fish slimming up a lot, which causes those white patches. Try to see if it covers the whole fish or just white separate patches.

How long have you had the fish? Did you quarantine him?
My money is on flukes. Get some Prazi Pro. Easy to use - just follow directions. Works well.

Can it be treated in display tank? A quarentine tank is not an option.

YES!! It's safe on corals, hermits, urchins and snails!
Shut your skimmer off. Treat according to the label. Stuff works great!

I wouldn't use it in the dt. It would kill all the good worms in your sand bed and live rock. Including bristle worms, flatworms, feather dusters, spiral worms and etc. It can also cause a ammonia spike if you have a lot of these worms.
