Is this Ich

Is this Ich or something else? Today after getting home from work I noticed a blackish spot on the head of my smaller clown. Could this be the first sign of Ich, black Ich, or something else? Could it be a nip from the other clown? If it's a nip because they were fighting do I need to disinfect it somehow or just leave it be?

That's definitely not marine ich, in fact its probably nothing in terms of parasite/disease . I've had clowns with odd little dark markings like that. I think there's actually a term for it.
Looks like a healthy specimen to me.

Okay well not being ich is awesome news. But it definitely wasn't there before I went to work this morning. I would have noticed it while I was doing my water changes. It's not a mark that he's had. Refer to him as him because he's the smaller of the two.

i wouldn't worry as long as he's acting normal. it is not ich. it's probably a nip from other fish. it could also be "hyper melanization" if he's hosting a coral.

Definitely not ich. Probably just banged his head on that rock he's hiding under.
