It started on my clownfish and I wasn't sure what it was, almost looked like a coat of slime, now I'm noticing white dots on my tiny foxface, is this ick? If so am I safe treating the tank with maracide? Will it hurt anything else in the tank? Anemone, starfish, corals, ect.

Looks like Brooklynella, and a pretty advanced stage of it. The clownfish needs treatment ASAP. Formalin dips are the standard treatment. Please review the stickies at the top of this forum for details. The foxface looks like it has Cryptocaryon (ich), but it has also been exposed to Brooklynella and needs to be treated for that first.

Treatment will need to be carried out in a dedicated QT, as the medications involved are harmful to invertebrates.

I agree.

I fresh water dipped the clown last night, looks beter already, if I keep up on these for a few days will this stop the Brooklynella completely?

I've been freshwater dipping my clown and he's looking better, but my flame angel just got really bad out of nowhere, is this also ich?

Ok thanks, I'm dipping in paraguard right now but I don't have a qt tank big enough for all my fish, so their going to have to go back in the DT..
