Hi,

i need a consultation. :-)

Is this ick?

There are 5 fish in my 30g cube, the fish in question is a clownfish which I added first about 4 weeks ago.

It has this one white spot on his nose other than that he acts perfectly healthy, and no other fish show any signs of illness.

I'm not sure because I added a diamond goby last, so there has been a bit of sand floating around in the tank.

I did not quarantine any of the fish because I am a total newbie,
and was hoping for some beginners luck ;-)

But now I already ordered two 15g tanks to have a hospital tank / TTM setup option in the future.

Sometimes I find my clownfishes have bubbles/sand attached to their nose/face area, just look like your pictures shown. They disappear about less than one day.

You can always quarantine and treat your fish even after they entering the main tank (in a separate tank). But usually require you treating all the fish to prevent future cross infection.

Just keep a close look at him for the next couple of days. If it's ick, he will behave weirdly such as rubbing sand or rock...And you will notice more white dots for sure.

Keep us updated.
