Is this Lymphocystis ???

I placed an order with an online vendor for some fish and have them in QT currently. I ordered a trio of swallowtail angels (1 male, 2 female of course) and have noticed some spots on one of the females. Bottom rear fin and a few on the tail as well.


Sorry for the bad pictures, theyre the best I can get with the glare and the fish moving around so much...

I also have a small onyx clowfish in QT with them before they all go into my 180g display. Are all the fish doomed ??? I dont want to add them to my display if this is going to spread like wildfire through my system....

The other female, the male, and the onyx clown all look great.

They all eat Rods food and spectrum pellets, and have good appetites....

lol, i do not know anything about your question, but, i too have a 93 cobra, number 1189! red of course!

Nice. I almost bought a red one but went teal instead... Mines number 235...

A little back onto topic, Ive noticed a few people on here with these spots on their swallowtails and the general concensus is lymphocystis. I guess now my question is do I just figure that all the fish have it now and none of them are going to make it into my display tank ???

Yes, it looks lymph since it's only on the edges.
Lymph is very annoying since it's a virus and there's no way to treat it. You just have to wait for it to go away by itself. Good water parameters and healthy feeding (varied died, selcon, etc).

I had a kole tang in a QT for 3mths because of lymph.

i know this is off topic, but is your name doug fiddelke? i was looking at my 1993 cobra registry. if it is not you should write them and have them change it, they have it registered as doug fiddelke!
