Is this my montipora digitata healing or cyanobacteria???

So, here's the scoop.. I bought my first SPS about 1.5 weeks ago.. on day 2 I noticed these little white things eating at my tiny frag.. I picked them off and later learned they were nudibranchs eating away at the frag...

so the base of the monti was eaten away and about 4 days ago I noticed the area that was eaten away started to turn pinkish.. I thought maybe it was healing.. but last night I noticed the pinkish stuff looked more thick and purple now.. I am wondering if this is Cyanobacteria??? and not the coral healing itself???

So... what is this? Cyanobacteria? Should I just toss out the frag and hope it gets rid of all the Cyanobacteria? or can I do something else? or is it healing?

Thought I'd post the pic below, and also post the pic of my cleaner shrimp photo bombing me lol

I went to my LFS and they said it was Cyanobacteria, and that I should use ChemiClean to get rid of it.. I have no other areas in my tank that have Cyanobacteria.. I think the least impact way would be to remove the frag and try again vs. adding such a harsh chemical to my tank... thoughts?

If that's the only spot of cyno in the tank the try eighther syphoning it out or sucking it up with a baster. I wouldn't try chemiclean unless it is the last resort. Algae & cyno usually won't grow on a coral unless it is dead or has spots that have got injured or just not doing well. It usually doesn't grow on healthy corals. I would definitely blow it off the coral.
