Is this new Leather dead?

I bought this set of leather coral yesterday. I should have acclimated longer than I did. I also did coral dip.

Both pieces slowly opened up this morning. Then, rather quickly, the leather on the left collapsed.

Is it dead? How will I know for sure?

leathers will melt away as they are dying, yours just looks stressed.

take the glass out from around it, it's blocking the flow, get the flow back up and it should perk back up, it's common for leathers to be stressed for a few days after transportation.
