I have some brown zoas in my 29 and they look like they have turned themselves inside out. All of my parameters are good. So is this normal and if not what is the prob? My lighting is 65w actinic and a 65w daylight 12000K.
what are your nitrates and phosphates? i have some palythoa that are doing that and i have had other do it in the past. my water is a little on the rich side for a reef tank (~10ppm NO3 + ~ 0.07 PO4) , i think that may be a contributing factor to this condition/symptom. It also doesnt seem to affect all polyps equally. I have some that do it worse than others and most do not do it unless there is other stresses like a sudden sharp current or me touching them. Any experts care to comment on this ?
