Is this red bugs on my new coral

I got a red Monti cap at the swap and last night when the lights were out i shined a light on it and underneath were these little red dots.

I cant tell if they move are not because they are so small but when i remove the coral from the tank i dont see them anymore

Red bugs infest acropora and not montipore normally. The red stuff might have been just dirt. If you remember who you bought it from, you can send the person a PM to see if he/she can tell what that red stuff might have been. Some people feed cyclopeeze to their tank with a turkey baster. I recall that someone used the same turkey baster to fill a bag and ended up causing a small commotion before.

It's always a good practice to observe your corals in a quarantine tank for a few days or at least dip your corals with some coral dip solution before you put it into your tank.
