Is this sps ok?

Hi im still nee to this and i just got my first sps today... the question is is this sps ok or should i take it back to the store as it seem a bit white in the middle section

Under the actinic light you can see there is still alot of polyps that are extended
Even in the paller section of it... is it cause it was stress from the move?

It's kind of hard to say exactly what caused the coral to look like that, but under the right conditions it can bounce back IME.

How old is your tank? What are your parameters? What kind of lighting do you have?

i would try and frag good part..i believe the white is dead...could be your parameters

if the frag has flesh on it but just bleached dont frag it that will surely kill it. if the white section does not have flesh on it then your only hope is too try and refrag it. in either case put it on the bottom of your reef and leave it there until it recovers. from what i can see it just looks bleached, put it on the bottom. i can take months for it to recover good luck.... zsu
