Hey guys! We are upgrading our tank from a 55 to a 120 and in search of more liverock... would anyone have any they are willing to part with? We'll need a total of about 60 lbs, so whatever we can get at a good price will help in total cost, because otherwise well be spending an arm and a leg at TFP :hmm1:

I will be breaking down my 120 .............prob this weekend.
Will have approx 150-200 lbs of LR . (still have to weigh it, going by memory)
Its almost all Fiji Totoka , and a nice mixture of large show pieces to medium smaller reef building pieces. Most of it has encrusting corals and shrooms on it.

Will also have a bunch of corals, and some fish for sale too.

Let me know if you are interested, before I list it for sale ............
I am thinking $3. per pound . If you want it all, $2.50 per pound .

Just pulled and weighed the LR I will be selling from my 120 . It was 150lbs dry . Its very nice rock with all kinds of stuff encrusting on it . Nice pink, purple, maroon ,orange coralline algae growing all over it and very interesting shapes .
It filled my 120 nicely, and it is not very dense, so their is a LOT of rock for 150lbs worth.

Let me know if your interested before I list it for sale . I can post a picture if you want.

Thanks,
Herbie

We are interested Herbie!! Any chance you'll have it around in 3 weeks though? We're not moving until Sept 27, and don't have anywhere for it right now. I'm hoping to get live rock and not start with dry or bleached pieces, so we can stick it right in the new tank.

Lightning, we may be interested, hoping to find enough to do in 1 trip, but I'll let you know if we can't find enough to do it that way. Thank you!!

Not sure how much you really want , but I have it in tub with a heater and a few powerheads, so it can sit for a little while like that.
It is a lot of rock though . I have it in a plastic 55 gallon drum that has been cut in half ..........and the rock completely fills the 1/2 drum packed pretty tight !
I will take a pic so you can see what it looks like if you want .
I am in Lewisburg PA 17837 , where are you located ?

Go on Craigslist most ppl breaking down there tank sell the live rock for $2 a pound and dry rock around a buck a pound. Best bang for ur buck

Here is a picture of it ............

Herbie

So sorry. I get so sidetracked and forget to check back on here. We ended up getting a good bit from TFP with a 30%off coupon so made out pretty well. It was so hectic with the move and all plus me forgetting I posted here that ended up being a last-minute decision.
