issue with pumps on DOC skimmers

Hello,

A few months back, I purchased a DOC 9005 skimmer for my tank. A few days later the pump blew out. Since I realized this skimmer was not really adequate for my tank size anyway, I decided to just purchase a DOC 9010. A few weeks later, the same thing happened. I came home one night and the pump was completely dead. The water level wasn't low or anything nor was the intake being blocked, so I don't think anything could have caused it to run dry. Is there anything I can do about this or do you have a link where I can purchase a new pump? If I recall correctly, the use the same exact pump.

They use different pumps, if you send me the pumps I will replace the motors. I can only suspect these pumps were made in early 2007 and we had a defective batch that the plastic delaminated and seized the rotor.
