Issue with several month old Tunze 6095

I have a pair of 6095's in my tank...One has decided to stop working according to its program in my Apex. It will work for about 5 minutes then all the sudden stop. I can look at the impeller and see it moving just a fraction every time it is supposed to turn on. I have looked at the wiring to make sure all is good, changed outlets, and cleaned the pump. I am not sure what else to do...Has anyone else had this issue? Anything else I can check?

Thanks

First please check that the impeller is undamaged and can move freely on the shaft. Also make sure that the blue disc is still in place inside the motorblock at the bottom of the shaft. Afterwards, please run the pump disconnected from the controller for a day or so and see if it has any issues. If none of the above gets you anywhere, please let us know.

Just to add to that, the blue cup should have a black disk in the middle, if you only see the blue cup, that would mean the disk came out and the drive unit dragging on the blue rubber will stall out. We get a lot of reports of Apex cable issues and they seem to pertain to the rubber sleeve on the DIN connector interfering with inserting the pins all the way and creating a loose connection, pulling back or trimming the rubber sleeve will usually solve this problem but as Craig suggested, a no controller test run will help narrow down the issue.

Are you talking about just disconnecting from the Apex with the DIN or power? The power right now is not on the Apex, it is running from a DJ multiple outlet...

I took the pump out of the tank and took it apart to take a look...The impeller spins freely on the shaft as it should. I took the impeller out to take a look inside, the shaft looks fine...I do see the blue cup, Roger I think I see a black piece that is in between the blue cup and the shaft but its hard to tell. I plugged the unit into a wall outlet, the pump jumped a bit then did nothing at all. I dont want to push it without getting your advice first...Please let me know what I else I can do

Thanks for the help

Yes both pieces are there (from what I saw), there certainly is no gap between the shaft and the blue grommet...I was straight into a wall socket last night as I was hoping to run the pump in water and vinegar. The pump turned on for half a second then stopped and would not do anything.

I think it is best to send it in, we aren't very far away and it should be pretty quick.
