Issues with MJ Mod...

When I got home today I noticed that one of my modded 1200's was not pushing much water. When I took it out of the tank, I noticed that the prop had come loose from the shaft (ok, so I fail glueing 101). Anyway, no big deal, easy to fix...

However, I also noticed that the metal rod that runs through the middle of the prop shaft has already started to corrode and it's turned the rigid airline brown on the inside. This concerns me given that it's only been in there a couple of days.

Has anyone else seen this happen?

Also, I've found that if I place the modded MJ too close to the top of the tank, I get major vibration noise. If I keep it towards the middle of the glass, I can't hear it at all.

I think it just a sealing with glue issue but I have some carbon rod if you want to try it.

vibration comes from air being pulled in from the intake vortex when you have the pump close to the surface. If you are not seeing bubbles than it is the increased pressure due to the same suction throwing the prop off balance.
