Italian End Cap MOUNTS

I can see how the bulb racks mount, attached to the top of the hood but how do these end-caps mount. If they mound to the ends of the hood then my dimensions must be right-on.

Also, I assume that the 48" URI bulbs and the 46" URI bulbs connect/mount the same, right?

Hi,

The mounts screw into the end cap, then you screw the mounts into the hood, so you can install from the bottom, so don't have to aling perfect. They do take more work then using a bulb rack, the main advantages are you can space anyway you want and it's a stronger more secure hold.

We do have bulb racks available which can be substitued in our retro kits.

On the 46.5/48, they install the exact same way, it's the same wattage and price. The 46.5 is just shorter. Keep in mind that VHO end caps add 1" plus length, that's the main reason they made the 46.5 size, so they would fit in a 48" hood. It's a tight fit though,
