IT's ALIVE!!! ID please

I'm not sure what they are. I have 3. 2 about the size of a dime and 1 about the size of a pencil eraser. I'd like to know what they are and is i need to get rid of them. When i pull the shell off the rock and move it.. they will reattach and move back to where it was.

It doesnt look like a crab or anything. When i pull the shell from the rock and look at the bottom it resembles a snail in that it's a fleshy foot deal in the shell.

I didnt notice these until i added the zoo frags i got from the LFS, Which came out of their display tank not a sales tank. Anywho thanks in advance!

Why don't you pull that one off the rock and take a few pics of the bottom, top and sides? It doesn't look like anything that would be a problem in your tank, but I'd like to know what it is, too. I might be able to ID it if you wanted to pull it out and take pics. Does it have a hard shell, or is the top part flexible?

i'm not sure as i havnt touched it, but from what i can tell it's a hard non-segmented shell. I'll pull it off the rock in the am and try to get some better pics of it.

dont Chitons have segmented shells though? Maybe a limpet or abalone but I dont see any holes or whorls... Looks similar in shape to Thyca spp. Did they have linkia stars in the display tank that the frags were from? Does it have a radula or just a proboscis?

There was nothing in the diplay except an assortment of snails (100's) and a couple fish (damsels and a butterfly i think). I got a good look at one this a.m. and it looks to have antenna (very small ones though) and a foot. The shell is hard and ridged. I've become comfortable with their presence and deemed removal is not needed, But would still love an id. I also discovered (not sure if it's related) a small starfish that is pure white (not clear) about as big around as a quarter and resembles my brittle star save for coloration. waiting on the with to get home to take pictures of the snail so i can hold it.
