Its Crazy Only A Mad Man Would!

It depends if you're glueing glass or acrylic ... more information would be good but the 1st thing that comes to my mind is "why are you doing this" :lol2: ... seems difficult :p not in the sense like hard to do, but as in just get a bigger tank because fusing 2 nano's is complicated aesthetically and might weaken the tank structurally because you have to be pretty damn well aligned when building aquaria. A strong tank is a must because once you figure out how many #'s of everything goes inside LS, LR, H20 ... you'll want to make sure your investment is wrapped around some quality acrylic/glass! Remember PHYSICS CLASS ;) ... Just 1 gallon of water weighs 9 lbs!

Fusing them how? like witha tibe or just together so nothing goes between them, just sit them on the same satnd next to each other.

If you are planning t fuse tanks together by removing the sides from both tanks so they literally make one tank.....then that is a bad idea. Its basic math, you can mold two ten gallons together, or buy a twenty gallon, either way its the same amount of water,, but one way is right and the other very synonymous with wrong. The smartest and coolest way to do this, if at all, would be to cut two holes in the corresponding sides of each tank, run clear acrylic tubing or pvc to couple the tanks, the length of the tubing will depend on how far from eachother you wish the tanks to be. Hot glue is no good and super glue isn't so super. If you still wish to embark on this project i would use a silicone sealant, or pvc cement around the outside of the tubing and use JB Weld around the inner rim of the cut glass to bond the glass to the tubing. But the best idea is to disregard all of what i have just said and pretend the build is impossible.

Thanks

Thanks

First off thanks for telling me none of those would work exept the silicone caulk.I had seen on another forum a guy made a nano out of acrylic, super glue, and hot glue.Second the tanks are aqrylic. I was just doing it to expirement. The idead about running a acrylic tube was a good idea. But i dont think im goin to do that im jus goin to make a few nano's about 4 gal's or so.Yes this was the most stupidist idea yet. lol thanks all.
