its drilled

hi mrferrit, I don't have a 1/2 inch but I'm going to order some bits either tonight or tomorrow (HongKong). Don't know if you can wait but I'll have it in about two weeks. I'm ordering some other bits for my studio and I need a 1/2 inch so once it comes in you can borrow mine.

thanks

Awesome job guys:beer:

checkinhawk, It looks like you changed your mind and went with a 90ga instead of the 75ga. I did not see the 2 holes drilled in the lower front, did you end up drilling them?

mflamb, can you pm me the link with your Plumbing? I like to see it.

no,the bottoms tempered so no drilling. im gonna run pipes over the back up to the front and bury them.that way i still can use my 6 way valve.i still need to drill a hole for the 2" bulkhead for the pump intake.

Well lets put it this way - if it broke I was told I can use my old 20G or the 10g the clowns are in! Might just take it over the top :D. I've been working on a new closed loop flow design that is over the top for the 65 and the 75. I added another pump in the 75 to help the flow, so I'm now looking at the Dart and leaving the Quiet One 4000 on the 65. We'll see, I still need to get the lights on the 65. This is just way to much fun!

I did order the larger bits 75, 80 and the 85mm, you know for future tanks.

Good job guys! Where did you order your bits from? I got mine from ebay about 1.5yrs ago. They were cheap, but I think after a dozen holes or so they're about spent.

Yea I know they won't last long but if I got say 10 holes out of one for the price I'd be happy. What I'm doing is seeing which ones I use the most and then I'll purchase a good quality bit to replace it. At his prices you can't go wrong, it's the shipping that kills (same price for part/shipment). That's also the reason I make a big order when I do order from him - saves a little. The order I just placed should keep us going for a year or two - unless we get a surge Tampa Bay new tank purchases :D . CheckinHawk suggested we have a tank drilling party at my house some day - I think that would be great. It's all about helping each other in my opinion - but I guess it's only helping if the tank doesn't break .

its new years arnt you supposed to be sleeping and hung over back to bed with you lol
Hijacked lol
ok carry on lol

Had to protect my little fishes - they got a little scared with all the commotion last night :celeb2: :celeb3: . Sleep is over rated - I can sleep when I die!

That is very pretty and just under 150MH and PCs? So now that you have your 90 somewhat drilled and your plans for a Dart, what are you going to use for lights? I'm starting to look at the 400 MH in the 65. Have that on one side and go with 2 T5 36" Actinics and 2 24" for the other side. Might be over kill with the lights and I think if I went will a IC 660 it would overdrive the 24" T5's. I'll have to map it out and of course get opinions and other ideas.

yeah thats under 10k 150mh and pc actinics.i think a 400 is too big on a 65g,but thats just me.i am going to use two 10k 250mh and four 24"vho actinics.i thought about going with two 48" or 46.5" vhos for actinic but i can get more watts out of four 24's than the two 48's or 46.5's.the 48" and 46.5" vho's put out 110w each x2=220w,the 24" vho's are 75w each x4=300w.

Yea - every once in a while I need to be reeled in. I think I remember you saying you're going with a open canopy, is that correct? I know mine will be somewhat closed and I'll probably have a cooling problem - we'll see this spring. Still that is very nice SPS under 150's!

well i might go open top.i found a stand and hood that im getting on thursday.if i can use the hood i will.i would actually like to use the hood as it will help me hide the closed loop plumbing.if you like that pic for my avi here is one for you,my clams under 150 as you can see on bottom of tank.
