It's for the birds...

Old School Reefer
Yes, I know this is a fish and reef website... and a bird cage surely won't hold water! Just the same, in case there's anyone out there with an avian habit or if you know someone with birds, we have a nearly new bird cage for sale for half price. Though I have resisted the temptation to get a bigger fish tank, Lettie has gotten a bigger cage for our cockatoo (and that's just the excuse I need to get a bigger tank!). Here's what we have for sale if you know anyone interested:

Centurian bird cage, used only 3 months and in nearly new condition. 33.5 inches wide, 24 inches deep, 40 inches tall. Total height is 70 inches tall, with a play area on top. Cage color is white/gray. Asking price is $125, which is half of what we paid. This is a great cage for up to a medium size bird (e.g. African Grey, conure, smaller breed of cockatoo). I wouldn't recommend it for a larger bird like a macaw or large breed cockatoo). I will post a pic if there's any interest.

Thanks.
Jay

Hi Jay,

There's a bird fair going on this weekend out at the college at Sycamore/I40. It is a greate place to stock up on toys and supplies cheap.

Ah..... I wondered when I saw your post about getting a new cage. The prices at that fair are hard to resist compared to Petco, especially on cages.

You may already know then that they hold that faire 2X/year. It will come again in November, usually the weekend after Thankgiving.

I didn't make it out there today as I hoped, but will try again tomorrow.

Actually I think they're now coming four times a year. The last fair was in February. Here's the cage:

Very nice.

You know it has seemed like the bird fair has been more often. Thanks! It's a good one. I try to be careful about going because I'm always tempted to bring home another bird and not just supplies.
