Why does my frogspawn have a huge bubble in its center?

I see this with my frogspawns when they are getting ready to split

My frogspawn has split multiple times and I've never seen a bubble like that before. It's something else IMO.

The majority of the time you won't see a bubble with them splitting/growth. Every once in a while you will see a bubble and I always see a split once the bubble goes away. I've seen this hundreds of times.

I think it's probably just getting ready to make a new polyp. My frogspawn coral did make a bubble like that one time, but mostly you can't tell, or the bubble can be seen from the underside.

A year and a half ago I got a two headed frogspawn, and now its got ten heads. Some sort of expansion around the polyp was usually visible while it was growing a new head.
