Ive been searching high and low..

for a peacock mantis shrimp in the bay area (San jose cali - San fransisco cali). Ive called all the big Fishstores (atlantis, aquarium concept, tnt, King aquarium, etc) every week for the past month about a peacock mantis shrimp, and every week is the same answer " sorry we dont have any call back next week ", My LFS told me they will order me one, but they havent been able to find any as well. I am asking the folks at reefcentral for aid because ive had my tank running for a long time now and its been empty for a long time as well.... I am feeling very discouraged.. any help would be great. Thank you.

I happen to come across and online place that is in CA that sells them for $36 plus shipping. check it out. Don't know if they're close to you at all, but can figure that out.

hey paaschjc, thanks for the reply and help!. Unfortunetly ive found that place before and they charge a " livestock " fee or something of that. Anyways the tottal comes out to like 117 dollars. And thats way to much. Thanks though!.

YEah, I noticed that too. THey charge $34 shipping plus $10 box fee and you have to have a minimum livestock order of $75.
I had considered posting with my local club to see if anybody else wanted a peacock or something else and put in a group order. THat way you could get the order above $75 and share the shipping costs. Maybe you should try your local club forum and see if anybody else wants a mantis or something else form this place. Usually peacocks are in pretty high demand. Just a thought
