soooo i've introduced some new colonies to my tank and a couple of them are having issues.

on the day of arrival they seemed drab and their problem persists after a week ( i know that's not long)

coral and problem
Pink millipora, washed out color
electric yellow vermiculata lost its blue tips
forest fire digitata is kind of brown (the frag i have of it is super colorful and i believe they came from the same mother colony)
blue tenuis is only blue on the tips and not on the body, the body is brown

all of my greens are fine, the red dragon frag i have is in amazing shape, orange montipora capricornus is beautiful.

Tank Specs
200 gallon tank
light: ATI LED POWERMODULE
skimmer: Reef ocotpus SRO300INT
Salt Mix: Reef Crystals
I do a 20% water change every 2 weeks

all params are 0 (amn,ni,nai,)
I don't have a test for Phos, and i don't run phosban (no algae problems) reactor should be coming in in two weeks.
PH 7.9-8.2
I've got to check Mag, Calc, and Alk but they're usually around the basic ranges (1400,450,9)

any ideas? or am i being impatient :P

I'm just a little stuned that my forest fire digitata frag is doing great but my colonie is drab, brown, but full poly ext

Could be any number of things, what is the source, are they maricultured? Aquacultured? Wild colonies? Could take them a long time to color up if they ever do.

They could be nutrient starved if your take nutirents are very low, although brown corals tend to mean excessive nutrients, or could just be stress from shipping.

Could be the lighting, they may be somewhat bleached do to the lighting.

Could be pests, I would recommend always being safe and checking them with a flashlight after lights out to make sure.

Could be a combination of nutrient problems and lighting.

Providing they have good polp extension, and there is no other signs of stress, I would be patient and monitor my paremters, stability and time is key. It could take months to color up, or longer. For example, my vivis rainbow turns brown at the drop of hat and takes months to color back up. If other sps in yoru system are doing fine and its just the new ones then I would be patient and let them acclimate.

Will do. I'll sit and wait, I'll check them out tonight as well.

I shouldnt even be giving this advice, I am very impatient, I am always watching my sps, trying to change things lol, but I think my tank always looks best when I am too busy to meddle with it, and I just watch the parameters and do basic water changes.
