iwaki vs pan world?

hey, i'm doing some research right now and i'm pretty much set on getting the Iwaki md30 xrlt, but which one do you guys thing is better? i would like it to be as quiet as possible as well as energy efficient. least amount of heat would help as well but i can't have it all right. only problem is i cannot find the wattage for the iwaki's, the pan world 50PX-X is 90W.

i have pan worlds.. a lot cheaper and they are supposed to be just as dependable...

well, i'm already getting the iwaki at a good price so price is not an issue.

I also have a panworld 50px-x and love it....It pumps and stays really cool while doing it

i was just told that the pan world is really loud, which one do you think is louder?

They are very similar. If you need a quiet pump, go with a sequence. I was not happy with the noise in my iwaki40rlxt. the good news is, it quieted down after it broke in(thats why i sold my panworld to Scotchmaster) They are not superloud, but they definately are not quiet. if I were buying a pump that had to be quiet, neither of these would be considered.

oh yeah, and btw, mine does run cool, I think a sequence will add more heat to your tank, but not as much noise..... tradeoffs...

i have a panworld 100x-x as my return pump.... it was kinda loud and annoying at first i think its the fan in it.... but either now i have become use to it or it has broken in some and quited down....

i also have a sequence reeflo dart on my CL that things is super quite but feels alot warmer than the panworld pump

The 50pxx is louder than the 30rlxt because it is fan cooled...the 30rlxt has no fan and is basically silent
