I just ordered Giant Clams in the Sea and Aquarium by James Fatherree. Does anyone know if this is a good book to have?

IMHO the best book on the market, Daniel Knopp has a great book out as well.

i agree, though James's book is an easier read and a little more up to date ( published ~ 10 years after Knop's ), we can't take anything away from Knop, years of work and research. i have both :)

a4twenty,

Do you know where to find it up here in Canada? I can't seem to get another copy without ordering through the U.S.

Great book. Our club had James to a meeting to speak and he gave a talk on clams and his research, very cool. We got to speak with him over dinner (and had him sign my copy of the book). Very interesting guy, well traveled.

you used to be able to get knops' book from ( of all places ) BA's, but i just looked online and and it isn't listed anymore ( might still be worth a call, ASWO#15945 ). i ordered James book from J&L when it was first published and it's still listed on their website.

HTH :)
