Jan Meeting...

Boostable

King Nothing!
Just wanted to drop a quite note and say thanks for the hospitality at tonights meeting. Really had a good time and learned a few things I have always been afraid to try..

Chris is hell with a razor blade.. lol

Great frag auction (and giveaways) as well..

Everyone I met was very friendly and really helpful.. Sorry I didn't get a chance to sit and talk with more of the members. Im sure I will see a few around the local stores this week.

If I did meet or speak with you tonight, or if you where there..could you do me a favor and post a reply here so I can put a screen name with a face.

Thanks again... will definitely attend again if I get the chance.

Alot of what Chris did is pretty basic stuff... But as new people in the hobby, it really helps to see someone do it. Reading about it is a good first step, but it's really tough to turn that into practical application. Great job, Chris!

Yes Jack it was real nice to meet you. I hope we can one day set up a trip to see you and your meetings in Orlando. Good luck on your Broward Coral/Fish Tour.

The meeting was awesome. Being new to this hobby, I have read and been told alot about fraggin, but it really comes together when you see it.
Also Chris and JC made it interesting and funny to watch. Cause it could have been, seriously boring.
Thanks for a great meeting.

This was my second meeting and I have to say its a great origination. When I first herd about it I could not believe that there was a group that met monthly. What even shocked me was the 60-80 people that attended. Honestly I was expecting 15-20 tops and I would not have been surprised with 10 people. It really is a great group and I am very impressed with the level of retail support the club receives. That being said I will keep all my purchases to the retailers who support the club.

This last meeting was great. Watching the frag demonstration was awesome. Its great to see some stones get fragged. What was fragged? I remember a toadstool and some polyps...

My only criticism is that it was very hard to hear the speakers. Also it would have been good to elevate the demo or put it on a TV screen. That might be difficult without a TV. I have a video projector and anyone wants to bring a camera in the future. I'd bet the school has a drop down screen they would let us use.

I am looking forward to the frag swap. I am saving my cash till then.

Your point is duly noted. We'll try to make it easier to hear/see in the future.

I would not even go so far as to call it a criticism. Cuz it was a great meeting.

Yes i can imagine its hard to hear in the mid to back section, esp after the mic went out near the end of the meeting. I love the fact that everyone was able to go home with something this time. I look forward to these meetings every month now...

It was a great meetnig, wasn't it! By the way, I was the one at the membership table w/ my hubby Randy and running around with my camera (as usual). It was nice to see y'all there...although I'm still putting faces w/ forum names.
