Jason's 40 Breeder build

I got a 40 gal a few weeks ago I wish I would have known it could have been drilled. The man at petco said it was tempered glass so I did not even try it. i went hob filter for now.:headwally:

Only the bottom is typically tempered, but if there are any doubts I would contact the manufacturer. FWIW, I believe mine is an aqueon brand tank.

Hey I'm not sure if I'm looking at the right stand from lowes but I have been looking around. Can u post a link to the one u bought thanks

After reading stories about critters going over the falls into the return area, I thought I would take a step to combat that early. This should help.

I decided to order dry rock from Marcos rocks. I ordered 25 pounds of key largo rock, and another 15 pounds of the prime cuts, with one side cut flat. I placed the order yesterday, and fedex has them scheduled to be delivered today. You can't beat overnight shipping for free! I'll be working on my 'scape over the next few days, so I'll be looking for suggestions!

My order from Marcorocks has arrived. Literally 27 hours after I placed my order, it was on my doorstep.

The box was packaged well, and each individual rock was wrapped in it's own cocoon of bubbles. : )

After opening the box, I laid everything out to take stock of what I had. The box consisted of 3 of the prime cut rocks, each between 6-8 inches, of varying shapes, and 6 base rocks around the same size. They will be perfect for this size aquarium.

There was very little breakage.

Now comes the hard part, where do I begin? First I have to wait for the EMarco400 mortar kit to arrive, in a separate package. Stay tuned....
