I've been seeing jawbreakers for sale. The just look like an ordinary mushroom to me. Why are they so expensive. I'm assuming they must look much better in person?

They do have a great glow. Supposedly they are real slow growers. Are they worth the price...evidently enough people think so to keep the price where it is.

They are very slow growers, and have great color patterns with a lot of color variability.

With one solid red mother, it can drop babies half red/half bright orange. They can have green spots develop later, even blue splotches. I have about 5 different patterns in babies dropped by a solid orange mother Jawbreaker.

Only mushroom I have ever purchased. Most other discosomas like the greens are pests.

They're super slow growers but they are the brightest orange and red coral I've ever seen. I bought one last november and it's only grown about 1in and had one baby in the year I've had it.

Yeah, I figured there must be something to it. People don't pay $175 for one mushroom unless it's really really nice. I would love to see one in person.
