jawfish question

I've been looking at this guy. He's a Blue Dot Jawfish.

What does he eat so I can be prepared for when I get him.

Mysis, really anything meaty. Mine eats like a pig.

2nd that. They eat like hogs. They also jump like Jordan. Make sure you have a cover on your tank!

Mine didn't do so good Lasted 3 days.

Beautiful fish. Some have success with them but I think more don't. May want to do some research first.

I had mine about 3 months, disappeared from his burrow one night. He attempted carpet surfing a couple of times while I was home. You have to have a tight lid on the tank if you are going to have one of these. They will find any hole to jump out of.

I have had much better luck with Pearly Jawfish. Also they are much cheaper.

+1. Mine lasted 3 weeks before my pistol shrimp/watchman goby decided to evict him, and he committed suicide by leaping to his death. Couldn't find him for 2 weeks . . . was vacuuming and found the fish jerky on the floor. It was quite tasty . . .

Luckily, mine was the $30 pearly jawfish variety and not the $100+ version you're looking at.
