JBJ 24g nano question

My nanocube came in the mail today and I'm not quite sure if the lighting works properly, or if I'm simply uninformed.

The moonlights don't work at all. Do they require some time to warm-up?

Once I switch the ballast on, only one set of PC's turn on. Are they on a rotation where they don't burn out as fast or should they both be on? I double checked my connections and the M/F wires were plugged in just fine.

I'm sorry, but the instructions that came along with it really didn't lend any insight on the matter.

I already have to return it because there was plastic chipped off the feeding lid's hinge when I opened the box, so the lid falls off each time I try to prop it open. Fun.

Thanks for any help!

The ballast controls the PC's. The moonlights are controlled by a seperate switch on the lid. The switch is in the middle. Just flick it back and forth.

You can have the moonlights and the pc's on at the same time, but you won't notice that the moonlights are on.

Unfortunately my moonlights don't work all the time. Sometimes I have to smack the lid and shake something up and they turn on.

I did figure out that much that the moonlights are operated by the switch up top and ballast for PC's. My probably is the moonlights aren't working at all and only HALF of the PC's are coming on.

Do both sets of your PC's turn on at the same time?

Both should turn on at the same time. IF you are returning it for the chipped plastic, I would return it all for a replacement since you have other issues.
