JBJ 28G: What skimmer are you guys running?

Hey SlvrSurfRidr, how's that AquaEuro USA working for ya? That's the one that fits in the stock chamber, right?
Finally breaking in now and I'm seeing some pretty good results. I do weekly water changes anyway (2.5 - 5 gallons depending) so I don't need a huge skimmer. What I REALLY wanted, was a skimmer that was a.) quiet b.) non-obtrusive c.) affordable -- this has been the best one I've looked at.

Here is a pick of that past 2 days worth of skimmate

Thanks I appreciate it. I mainly interested if it will interfere with the hood opening and if it will prevent me from getting an InTank media basket.

I'm also using the AquaEuro in my new JBJ 28 CF. No clearance issues with media compartment, no hood issues. It is a very snug fit in the stock compartment, but it does fit. I really like it.

I'm also going to build an HOB refugium, and it will not interfere there either.

I give it a +++

Are you using that skimmer on the 28g? Would love to see some pics if you had them ...
no I'm using it on a 20 gallon. lol. i had it from my 55 but, I'm moving to college and needed to consolidate. :)
i ended up taking most of my 55's equipment for my 20 gallon. It has a Koralia 2 (with a Koralia nano propeller) and a Koralia 1, the skimmer, and a bak-pak that i'm converting into a refugium. (i might be stealing a thread but do know of a good light that i could use?)
i'll take some pics of my skimmer in my tank tonight and upload them tomorrow.
i just (2 days ago) cycled my tank so there's not much to look at.:rolleyes:

Thanks. Do you have any pics?

Still debating on a skimmer for my 28G JBJ. I like the HOB idea, but am worried about bubbles (even though I'm sure I could tweek it to get rid of them somehow).

I saw the Reef Octopus HOB OCT BH100 and am really curious about it. It doesn't seem like a lot of people use it. However the reviews I did happen to find were all positive. I have a Octo for my 180G and I love it.
