Hey Everybody,
I Just Finished building a JBJ 30 Gallon Rimless Bare bottom. I thought I would post some Pictures and see what everyone thought.

anybody got any suggestionsr Corals that could encrust on the bare bottom. I'm also looking for one or two other fish to put in with the pair of clowns. I was thinking a blenny, maybe midas or bicolor. Any thoughts??

Any pics of the back section? Haven't seen any good shots of the filtration setup. Any room for a skimmer? HOB? Mine comes in Thursday, definitely using yours as inspiration! Haha

I actually ended up drilling mine, and putting a 15 gallon refugium in.

Did the overflow come with the tank or did you build it yourself? You could place scans on the bottom

No I built it Myself. The Return was really tricky I almost didn't have enough space.

Very cool to see one of these things finally up and running on RC!! Blenny would be a cool addition and should get along well with the clowns. Midas, forktail, or striped all look great and would get along well with the clowns. Something like a sunset monti would look awesome encrusting on the bottom! Look forward to progress on this tank.

What is your hardware list so far?

Right now I'm running the BlueLine 120 watt LED: which is suppose to be equal to a 250 watt halide - I heard I might have issues with hot spots since its not dimmable but no problems yet...
Reef Octopus skimmer rated for 100 gallon tank
Phosban 150 Reactor
Fluval Canister Filter 700 that I converted to a Carbon Reactor.

Looks like a solid list, what are you running in the phosban? 120w LED is pretty high if not dimmable, but if you adjust the height of the fixture you should be fine and looks like you are doing well so far. I have a 130w Radion on my 28g, for reference, and running at 70% or 91w intensity and it's working well for me since October.

Yea I'm keeping an eye on everything to make sure I don't see any bleaching. I was looking at that Sunset Monti you suggested and I think that would be perfect. It's going to take awhile to do what I eventually want but thats the perfect color. Thanks for the suggestion.

Haven't posted in awhile thought i would share some pictures of new additions.

I rescued the Pavona and Bubble from a friends tank that crashed... The bubble is growing, but I can't tell if the pavona is getting any better. It has had that green tint for awhile but i can't tell if there is any growth. Has anyone brought one of these back looking like this?
