JBJ ATO issue

So I have had this set up for a week now and evidently, when the float drops, it will begin pumping in water, but it will randomly stop before the float is closed off again. Is there a timer on the pump switch that only keeps it on for so long or is my unit faulty?

Yes it has a preset cutoff of 3 minutes or so. You can change that to 14 minutes somehow. It is to prevent overflow due to faulty float switches.

Interesting. I wonder why it can't keep up with the evaporation? How far does the level drop before it kicks in?

Maybe I need a bigger pump? I'm using the Tom's Aqualifter.

You have to unscrew the back and change the time limit.

I use a maxi-jet 1200 with my JBJ ATO.
The aqualifter may be a tad slow.

Thanks guys. I adjusted the JBJ timer and I have no issues now.
