I have a jbj ATO that will not maintain water level unless I lift the float manually,I bought a brand new float control and it still won't go on automatically. Any ideas?
I not a JBJ auto top off owner, but lots of float switches can work in 2 positions. You can remove the clip and flip the white "bobber", replace the clip.
Brand new Madison switch on mine. I too have to manually reset the float in order for it to run. Must be the timer inside, theres a small blue pot, rotate counter clockwise until it locks 9this will give you a maximum float/pump operation of 14 minutes before it goes into "safe mode". Hope this helps, per the instructions on BRS. Need to do this myself when I get home.
so it works if you remove the float completely out of water?
check to make sure you install the float vertically. if it is slightly off vertical, the float may not drop down when the water level drops.
