The light obviously through the back by scraping off the paint
But any type of baskets or anything to put in there anyone come up with

Rather than scraping the paint to let light in you might consider a submersible led to drop into the media basket chamber. I just ran into one on InTank's website (www.mediabaskets.com). It's not too expensive so you might want to check it out. It's a 10W LED and I think it's $18.99.

I'm considering picking one up to throw some macro in my media basket on my NC 28. One idea I had for modifying my media basket to hold cheato in a chamber without it escaping all over the back of the tank is to use some strawberry basket. You know how strawberries sometimes come in those green plastic baskets? I'm thinking you could cut some of that to cover the holes in the media basket. I think it would be small enough to keep it all in but big enough to allow good flow. My wife actually came up with the idea. The only problem may be finding those green plastic baskets as strawberries usually come in clear plastic clamshells now.

Anyways, just a couple of ideas I've bounced around. If you get yours going update so we can see any mods you did. Good luck.

BTW, does that new JBJ 24 nano with LEDs have separate power cords for dusk/dawn or just Light/moonlight or all three Daylight/Dusk-Dawn/Moonlight?
