jbj nanocube surface skimmer

Hi all,

I keep trying it out on my 24DX, is it suppose to drop the water level in the rear chambers and increase the level of the display? Obvisouly water should be removed, but it makes me nervous, seems less water moving and a risk of overflow. Anyone have any troubles with this? Does it really help clean up the water?

I have my surface skimmer installed and all the way up, it won't overflow the display, just make sure you have enough water in the back chambers or the pump in chamber 3 will run dry.

I don't think it cleans the water, maybe breaks up surface skum and keeps the water in the display constant.

I use the surface skimmer on my 12 dx..... without it, I was getting surface slime....the levels in the filter compartment should be lower so the water flows thru the three compartments properly. I really like my nano and it has been up for a year nos...pics in my gallery.....
