JBJ powerhead/wave maker any good?

So I know some of the uber 500 dollar wave makers or $450 MP239028350823 power heads are the shizzle but the bottom line is the military dose not pay well enough for me to go wipe with 400+ bucks.

However I can scoop up a pair of JBJ oceanstream powerheads with JBJ's ocean pulse wave maker for 100 bucks, that....I can go wipe with, but is it worth it or is this stuff junk?

Tell me about it. I have been saving.. I am up to 400 bucks... I just hope I am fortunate enough to get an SRB next month. I am deployed so tax free will be nice but I just dont know if I can justify 800 bucks on MP40's... But If I buy the best now I wont ever have to upgrade....I hope.

"the best" is subjective though, is the honda civic as cool as the Ferrari? not even close....but if I just need reliable function the the pasta rocket is out.

I think the JBJs are too new to know what long term success or failure there will be. I still am running a version 1 mp40. Works like a champ. I have confidence in jbjs chillers, BUT then the electronics on them are pretty worthless. That being said they don't make the components on the compressor so it's really hard to say how the pumps will do long term. In the short term jbj has a good warranty.
