Jebao DCT vs. DC

just read about Jebaos new model pump that has been released. they are still relatively cheap and apparently are a lot better. they are labeled as Jecod DCT pumps vs the older Jebao DC pumps.

anyone run one of these yet?

Just put one on my 120 I am setting up, about 2 weeks ago. Haven't used the DC one, so can't compare. Had a bit of the electric motor whine to start, either I have gotten used to it or its quieted down. Will be ordering another in the future for water mixing/backup

i heard about the turbo engine noise. apparently it goes away!

I had the 12000 dc and it failed after only 9 months. Replaced it with the new dct 12000 so i hope they sorted out reliability. Very quiet pumps and very efficient.

I had/have 2 I always had a hard time explaining the noise they make but they do sound just like my f350 turbo diesel when on high. Although I will say they aren't ridiculous loud they do whine. I tried the mag 24 first and it lasted 5 minutes and it was pulled it was unbearable. I do like the wp series wavemaker jeboas but the dc line of pumps I have not been to thrilled with. I am currently building a custom sump and will be going with a reeflo. Those thing are beasts and pretty quiet and the flow although rated pretty close to each other, is not even in the same ballpark.

ahh a ford that explains it lol kidding but they are f-ing anoying with the stupid turbo spool at idle that is pointless. i hve been useing the same dc 9000 return pump for a year and a half and have had 0 issues it was never noisey and has never failed but i do take it out a clean and inspect it every 3 months or so. take care of youe chit and it will last longer.

I love my dc pump. It's very quiet. It replaced a sicce 5.0. The noise difference was so huge it's as if the jebao doesn't exist. If you turn them up to setting 5 or 6 you can hear them. At level 4 they sound like a computer fan. Can't complain but I am anticipating failure within the next year. I'll get a dct8000. Price of replacement every 18 months is worth my sanity for silence.

i hooked up the dct 8000 last night. it is not loud ...

So, now that you have it going, what's the difference? All I've seen in other threads was a different color and more speeds.
