Jebao Dosing pump

I'm setting up my new jebao dosing pump, and the instructions were obviously written by an Asian with very broken English. So it days there is an "interval days" setting. What does this mean? It goes from 0 to 30. Does this mean it will do my program every n days? So if I pick 2 it will do it every 2 days and if I pick zero it will do it every day? Or does it mean something else? Please help.

The instructions alone should be enough to tell you to not trust this equipment with something so delicate as dosing.

I have the Jebao and it's been doing 2 part in my tank for a while now. Works perfectly! My perameters never change - and it's spot on with the amount of dosing - I do 2ML per hour all day every day..

Nothing wrong with the manual. Just need to learn Chingrish. Spend enough time in the quad-racing/RC helicopter/3d printing industry and you learn it pretty quick.

Check out YouTube if you search fishofhex he has a video on programming it. I have this as well, but my system doesn't have much of a coral load to do dosing at this moment.

+1 check out him simple and straight forward with all his videos.

I also find it to be more accurate with larger doses so I dilute my Alk 50/50 to dose larger doses as my tank doesn't take too much right now. But it is Pretty accurate and consistent.

Switch the heads around also will make it run smoother if yours are not flipped already.

Time does fluctuate a little bit on it seems to be an issue for most, sometimes mine is a couple mins fast or couple mins slow, not a big deal at all as your corals will not see a difference in a couple mins...

Do you have one of these that have failed.. Mine is over 2 years old dosing each our on each pump and still works as well as it did on day 1.

People get on the internet to ask for help and complain about a product.. You see very few people saying HEY my Fork in the kitchen works as it did 100 years ago....

Nobody knows exactly how many of these dosing pumps were sold. So what is the number of failures in comparison to those who have no issues. With the price of these things vs the well known brands i bet there are far more of these in use that HAS NOT FAILED then the few that have had issues..

Just my opinion..

I'll probably do the 50/50 dilution because I'm only dosing 16ml/day right now. Plus I feel like that will help my line not clog with precipitate.

Any advice on that? Day 1 and my line going into the tank is milky white for last two feet before it touches the water. should I leave the end of the hose in the water or out of the water? Is that normal and I shouldn't worry about it? This is my first auto dosing pump.

Actually I did. Failed within 6 months, stuck in the on position. No matter what I did the pump would not stop running.

Definitely do not keep the hose under water. Keep it above the water Mine is about 4in above and make sure nothing is splashing on it or micro bubbles that could be why your having an issue with it precipitating or your you just have it too close to the water.

I only dose 15ml a day that's why I do the 50/50 also, so I spread it out to 10ml of 50/50 3 times a day.

It seems you document everything in your build threads, yet I didn't see anything about a jebao doser and especially about one failing. Maybe I missed it?

Thing is working great. Alk holding steady at 3.6 meq/l for 4 days now. Didn't even have to calibrate or make any adjustments.
