Jebao PP-15 Wavemaker flow rate?

I just picked one of these up for my 90g...to add some extra flow on top of the IceCap gyre I already have. Flow rate states 315-3950gph...and recommended tank size is 50-90gal.

This thing is ridiculously powerful though and seems like too much flow even on the lowest setting. All the video reviews I'm watching now show them on large 6ft tanks.

Anyone have any experience with these pumps? I feel like I need to get a smaller PP-8...but now I have little faith in the stated flow rates.

I have a buddy that runs 2 of the PP-8's in his 75 running opposite eachother, great flow in his tank. I run a CP-40 in my 42" long shallow reef, I like the flow much better than the PP versions.

I run 2 x PP8 on a 4ft 80G tank.. and I can easily kick up sand on the far end of the tank if I wanted too..
I can't imagine having the PP15..

My only real complaint with them is that the flow is too focused so it is a very powerful/thin stream..

I have 2 PP8s in my 4 foot 90.. possitioned on the back wall..opposite sides pointing to front and center..
I have them both set on the 3rd power level.. and that seems like plenty of flow for me.. softies and lps tank..

Only complaints are as stated above.. and that you can't set the peak power on the ramp up and down setting

You can, it's really easy if you have a Apex and hack up the cable a bit.

So it sounds like I the website I bought it from is full of bologense with their "recommended" tank sizes for these pumps.

Now time to deal with the return process and get the PP8. Thanks everyone.
