Jebao RW-8 Sparking

Not sure if this has happened to anyone else on here, but I moved the RW-8 to use in a different location. When I plugged the power back into the controller it sparked and there is no power going to the power head. The controller still gets power. Each time I plug the power cable in the controller there are a few sparks again.

Looks like it will be getting exchanged!

That happens when you don't unplug the power supply from the outlet. I've seen that on other jabeo power supplies as well. Recommend unplugging power supply before unplugging from controller

Thanks! I'll try messing with it and seeing if doing that will fix things.

I believe the instructions are very clear to disconnect the power supply first before anything. There are good reasons for that.

Those darn instructions! Gets me every time.

I actually read them when I bought it but forgot about them later on. I guess it is good to revert back to the very now and then.

Correct me if I am wrong but the Vortechs are not UL listed either, I believe only the power supply is UL listed (and not 100% sure).

It is still crazy to see sparks.
