Jebao WP25 Information

On on that site that sells things and starts with an E and search for Light Dimmer Adjustable Brightness Controller DC 12V-24V For 3528/5050 LED Strip. This is the one that I believe most people were using.

Correct.

It goes like this.

Ok. thank you. I have that specific post bookmarked but wasn't sure if any new developments emerged since then. Looking forward to my wp25!

Not in terms of using an LED dimmer and hooking it up.

The best way to slow the speed of the pump down is to do it with a 3rd party controller (Apex or Reef Angel) get rid of the stock controller and slow it down on the control line in between the controller and the pump.

As far as slowing it down before the controller it is just to reduce the voltage going to the controller either by variable power supply, LED Dimmer or PWM Dimmer.

1 wp40 should be ok depending on the corals, but I would go with 2 wp25's, I always like to have at a min. of 2 powerheads in the tank for more random flow

What would be nice for nano tank. Oh one more question so I read the G2 controller have new setting to adjust the flow to be 100%, 75%, and 50% power. So if I also combine that with a variable power supply and set it at 12v that mean the flow can get even lower correct to 50%, 37.5% and 25%.

Yes, flow will reduce proportionately but not sure if same percentage as you mentioned. I am running at 12v , w1-s1. It looks like the same ad 24v, w1-s3.

I have a 75g with mostly Softies and LPS. 1 SPS. Would a WP25 be too much flow for my LPS?

I was thinking of running it in W1 S2 opposit of koralia 4.

No I think that 1 WP 25 itself would probably be fine for the tank.
2 would probably be better so you can position them to get the best flow.

I just received my wp-25! I love this thing. My tank seems much happier and my fish enjoy swimming against the current.

i got my dimmer today and noticed that its getting really really hot. so much that it started to melt the plastic. just a heads up for others out there. it looks just like the one pictured above.

I never hear of this happening before. I ran mine like that for about 2 months and didn't have a problem.

Do you know what voltage you were running it at?

If it goes below 50% or 12v there have been some issues with the pump not running correctly, but I never heard anything about the dimmer getting hot and melting.

i ran it for about an hour at the lowest setting it can run with the controller on else mode and s3. i took the plastic cover off and turned it up a little bit and i dont think it is getting as hot as it was before.

If you have a vol or multimeter put the positive in the plug and touch the negative to the outside and see what the dimmer is putting out.

If it is below 12v dial it up a bit.

FYI the speed setting have no effect on any mode except W1, so S1 on else is not different then S1 on else.

i dont have a multimeter. i dont want to dial it up any more because i have a lot of softies and lps. im sure the few sps i have are loving it but all the other corals are getting whipped around

Yea I just noticed one if my pump is tripping its on 100% else mode and its feels week I put into feed 10 min later full power then later drops down.
Odd I wonder if it could be the controller or power supply. Would that mean its leaking voltage ?
