Jebao WP25 Information

I agree, we'll have to see the pump in action. The video doesn't show how long it took the pump to create a wave that size so it's hard to judge its real power.

And it's an empty tank. I'm sure with rocks and coral absorbing some of the kinetic energy, the wave may or may not look as impressive.

I completely agree. But at the same time have you seen the same demonstration from ecotech? It's on you tube running a mp40. The wave looks smaller than this thing. Not sure their tank size though.

LMAO. Correction. It's two mp40 running.

Regarding the WP-25, if the specs and what not are only rumored at this point, then how are companies taking pre-orders? Am I missing something? As far as flow, I've seen "up to 1590 gph" on multiple pre-order listings, and we've all seen the footprint photo where it's comparably smaller than the WP-40. These things leave me tempted to pre-order for my 76g, but I don't want to throw money at something that's not confirmed

We've seen the spec sheet with the WP40 and the WP25, which lists flow rates, but it also lists the dimensions of the pumps to be the same size, which we know is not the case. The only evidence of the flow is the video posted in this thread. To my knowledge, that is all we know. I was also unaware of the flow rates listed on sites with a pre-order. I would trust those at your own risk, but they could be correct. Looks to be roughly 1/2 the flow of the WP40.

Ryan, I am with you. I can't see how people can sell and buy the WP25 without knowing the specs, detailed description, or even suggested price. All they are selling is a "vapor" ware. The 1590 gph was simply based on an email to one of the RC members and has never been confirmed. There is also rumor of a name change. I guess the WP40 has created such a positive impression of the product and people just extrapolate those same features to WP25. The latest I heard Jebao is still testing the WP25 and probably won't be available till June.

Yes the 1590 was sent to me in an e-mail from Wystan at Jebao, but I can't confirm it is true. I have also heard that the latest delivery is June as well.

I would not put money down on a pre-order unless you know exactly what you were getting and when it would be available.

Also you could pay $99 for a pre-order and them when it come out other sites are selling is for less.

Just did a pre-order for the wp25 at fragarack dot com. It doesn't come out until end of the month but for the price it can't be beat. Got both the WP40 and WP25, can't go wrong with spending under $200 LOL

Specs on fragarack.com are the same for both the wp-40 and wp-25 listings. Looks verrrrrry risky.

They are now selling the WP25 for $80 with free shipping outside CA. I noticed most of the pictures used were collected over the internet or from posts here.

There is a local supplier that started selling preorders of the wp25 for $119, then $105, then $99 and now he has a "special" lot of them coming in the next few weeks that he is offering for $75 as a special price for preorder.

I predict that the suppliers are just trying to find the price point by gouging and getting as many as they can early on before the actual prices are found out.

I still think $50 would be the ideal price point for these.

Dude, they are not selling the wp-25 AT ALL. It's just not there.
They are just renaming the wp-40s and shipping those out I bet.

This will not be drastically cheaper and here are some reasons why.

WP-40 .. sold wholesale for 42

Difference from 40 to 25

Size only, same controller, same technology.

Maybe 40 to 50 cents in saving during production in reduced plastic requirement.

I believe these will sell for $65 plus 20 in shipping to the us for an 85$ total. That is my guess once fish street has them.

from what I have heard the controller may be improved so you can adjust the flow. so I agree that there prob. won't be much diffrence in price
