Jebao WP25 Information

I agree. W1 had an obvious decline in flow from S1 to S3. I didn't notice any change in speed on the other modes. My 'scientific observations' were done by holding my hand in front of the pump while changing speeds.

My corals are mad at me now. This pump really puts out some water. I have a 90 gallon 4' long and it created a sand storm.
I was using a wp40 before this with led dimmer dialed down to 12-15 volts.
I was hoping to replace it with two wp25s, but I think I will need another dimmer for that.(so disappointed with the new speed control)
The wp25's are tinny tiny compared to the wp40.

That's good to know! Where did you place it/aim it?

Back right comer pointing off front left coner just enough so
It wil then bounce of side left

I hooked up a meter and yes s1 2 and 3 only work in w1 if you have small tank order 5 dollar dimmer issues solved. Else changes flow so much you would not want to control in increments of 25% you want a dimmer so you can do it 1% at a time.

Thanks for checking that everyone.
dougdstecklein you scientific observation is not as accurate as the way Haze152 did it, but they both work.

I'm going to try to get info on the Jebao KM ECO Variable Pump from Wynstan, but he has not been that responsive lately

Any info about this pump? Certainly it looks the same as the Waveline, Speedwave, Derkroon, Octopus DC pumps.

If Jebao is the manufacturer, the "Brand Name" rebranded Jebaos are selling around 4X the original Jebao's price.

Can you confirm that the Speed control only works on the W1 mode and not W2, W3 or else?

Got my WP-25 up and running this morning. The directions clearly state that the speed control works with W1 mode. Frankly, I thought I would need the speed control in my 65 gallon but I do not. I had a pretty good standing wave in there using W1 on full speed but it wasn't sloshing out of the tank. On else mode I hardly notice the waves.

That's right. To make waves, the pump has to pulsate as in W1, W2, and W3 mode. In ELSE mode, the pump gently speeds up to max and then slows down to min. The knob controls the interval of the ramp up and down cycle.

In my 65 I'm getting a pretty constant 1/4" wave in else mode, not much I know, but it's definitely there. I swear the snails seem to be playing in it, like it's the littoral zone at the shore line.

I started in ELSE mode around 50%... I have been playing with W1 full speed and I am starting to like the the wave I think... it seems to be more gentle than ELSE mode... I'm gonna run at 100% in W1 for a while on my 57 gallon and see what happens

Really W1 is more gentle than Else?
My corals didn't think so and we have about the same tank I have a 55 and you have a 57 unless your's is more square then rectangular.

My corals really rock and roll when I dial in the proper standing wave in W1 mode. That never happens in my 65 on Else mde.
