I have 50g cube tank and I have to say one wp-40 is overkill even with a dimmer. That why I'm waiting for my 2 x wp25 to arrive
 
So got my led dimmer today and was wondering how much percent is the pump running at right before the sensor light blinks ?

And another question would useing controller would be able to take down lower ?

I think since jeabo has such a demand needs to make a smaller less powerful pump more wide flow for those 30-60gal

I'm happy with the pumps but a tad to strong for my 65 mixed reef my LPS and sand = sand storm . would been fine bare bottom and sps only

I agree about being a bit much. I'm running it on my 40 breeder sps with just a couple of lps and zoas. I actually added a second one and aimed it at the flow of the other wp25 and they fight against each other and it at least stopped the sandstorm.

I would guess on my led dimmer that i'm down to 40% or so before the night sensor starts blinking. I have no idea if it is safe to run it below this point. I would like to if I thought it wasn't hurting anything.

I have 2 on my 300 8 ft tank, I really like them but am planning on 2 more for the other end.I placed mine both on the same end one just a bit higher than the other.I have mine on else mode
 
Got the WP-25 and couldnt be happier with it. My sister-in law is Chinese and she offered to translate the instuctions. Hope this helps everyone:

User instructions and functional analysis of panel


Up to 7 models to choose from: choose different mode by using "œMODE/FEED" bottom. The mode functions are as following:

H1: Fixed maximum flow mode.

H2:75% fixed maximum flow mode.

H3:50% fixed maximum flow mode.

W1: Classical wave mode:


This bottom can work with the big knob on left side to adjust the size of wave in the tank. Every water tank is different. When length of water tank is equal to a length of wave, the wave can reach to maximum peak. When you adjust knob clockwise, it increases a length of wave, otherwise it will decrease a length of wave.



Tips: slightly adjust knob and wait 10 seconds more to watch wave, in thus to get the best wave you want.


With bottom "œSPEED/LOCK" and choose one of S1, S2,or S3 for W1 mode. There are 3 types to control stream.


S1: maximum stream.

S2: 75% maximum stream.

S3: 50% maximum stream.

W2, W3: Fixed program pattern for waves and streams:

Based on different creatures in the tank, work with knob to change types of waves and streams.

Else: Non-fixed program pattern for waves and streams:

Based on different creatures in the tank, work with knob to change types of waves and streams.



Feeding function:

Hold "œMODE/FEE" bottom for 3 seconds until "œ10min" (blue light) on. At this time, water pump stopped and water calms down, then it's a time to feed. The pump will back up after 10 minutes. Press "œMODE/LOCK" bottom until "œ10min" (blue light) off to manually re-start pump.



Lock function

Hold "œSPEED/LOCK" bottom for 3 seconds until "œLOCK" (red light) on. At this time you will lock all functions you set. Hold "œSPEED/LOCK" until red light off to unlock if you want to change waves and streams.

1.Light function:
The light sensor element is located at left side of control box with 2-pin seat. If you do not need this element you can un-plug it.

Day time with strong light, the "œsensor" yellow light off, and green light on. All functions are under normal control. At night time or clouded day time the "œsensor" yellow light on. The waves and streams switch to slow motion.



Precautions

1.Do not run it when tank has no water.
2.Avoid getting water on the surface of control box.
3.To install magnetic disk, it is better to move the front disk slowly on outside of the tank glass and make it tight.
4.Non-professionals should not open control box
 
one question I have is does the magnet work through half inch glass? I currently have a fresh tank but im putting this on it at 12v just for the look of the random current. I'll also buy a wp40 for when I switch this tank to salt but I really need to know if the magnet is strong enough. thanks in advance.
also is there any other power supply I can use at 12v besides their supply? can I put a new connection on a 12v battery charger? haha
 
for those getting too much flow you can change to a less powerful supply like a 12v, obviously the connection has to be the same and so does the current output.
 
FDo you think the the wp25 would be too much for a JBJ 28G nano? Since its rather small I assume the 25 even turned down might move too much water and rearrange the entire tank and cause a sandstorm. Thoughts?
 
I personal;y think so.
Others may disagree with me, but I had a 25 in my 55 and thought it was to much because the nozzle flow was so narrow.

I'm using a 40 turned down because of the wider flow.
 
Ok next question - I found a used MP10 on Craiglist locally for $125. By the time I ship the WP25 it will be about $100. What are your thoughts. Again - this is for a JBJ 28G nano

for that tank and price go with the mp10 if its in good working condition, even if it's the old blue controller.
It will also give you more space in the tank and plenty of flow
 
Finally put up another wp-25 on the side of the 65 gal tank and I'm finally happy.
I have one running on else and the second running W1 & S2 or S3. The sand storm stopped and now I get a nice flow everywhere without my lps getting beat up.

With flow woth one wp25 seems to just bounce off walls and straight down to the sand bed even aimed up.
Must have a second one !
