My tank is 60L x 18W x 24H.

I know you can run them at different settings so which combination is best?
1-WP40 and Koralia 4
2-WP25
1-WP40 and 1-WP25
2-WP40

Any other advice on purchasing would be appreciated.

60 Inch tank you can get away with either 2 WP40s or 1WP40 and 1WP25.

I say no to doing 2WP25s or 1WP40 with korilas.

The advantage of doing 2 WP40s is that they dish out a wider flow path. Tha advantage to doing 1 WP40 and 1WP25 is you have the options of turning water overr at more variable speeds (using different combinations of the wp40, the wp24 both or neither and then further dividing that down among the different pump settings) and having a smaller footprint on one end of the tank (the WP40 is baseball sized).

One additional note. Wider flow path = better over all circulation but it could aggrivate the crap out of corals in the area more (as the flow path will hit more). Narrow flow path = reduced over all circulation but you have the advantage of directing it away from certain corals a little better. Chose depending on your rock work and choice of livestock.

I went with one of each for my 48 inch long tank. If i had a 60 inch tank i would go ahead and get two WP40s

Thanks. That was a great explanation.
I'm leaning towards one of each for the variance in speeds and smaller footprint.

You will have ample circulation either way. Some times i shut BOTH mine off for several hours at a time as running either (even at low) kinda ****es off things like frog spawn and torch corals. Its nice to have too much power rather than not enough however. Your skimmer and main pump should provide more than enough oxygenation and filtration so the primary purpose of pumps like this is to move nutrients around for consumption and export. If you are going to be controlling these manually or with a controller, remeber it is perfectly find to turn them off at times to let everything chill, then you can turn them back on at various combinations to stir the nutrients around for consumption. I have the luxury of being home LOTS (working from home huge chunks of the year) and im finding that having them both shut off for a few hours a day is beneficial to some of the more flow sensitive corals.

So you have lots off options 1)"off time" 2) WP 40 time. 3) WP 25 time 4)Differnt power levels (they each have a low, medium and high for wave mode and a simulated "random mode" and 5)Both on full power time.

Vary your flow by utilizing ALL possibilties throughout the day.
