Jebao WP60

The Pump has arrived and I like the size and design even better than the wp40's

The flow is much wider and stronger than the wp40 and really is cleaning up my tank, well at the moment I'm having a detris storm even though I put the pump in the exact spot as a wp40 has been and next to "mp40's" that have been there all along and didn't even realize my rocks needed power washed ;)

I tried W1 mode to see the wave action and although I have a lot of rock and nice size sps colonies in the way it still was very impressive in my 180g it moves some serious water. I certainly was watching to see what wasn't going to stay in place.

As far as noise I couldn't hear it even on high, my tank is acrylic and of course I can hear all the mp40's but it seemed dead quite I even put my ear to the tank to try lol

I would say it is, they are the same size and use the same mount/magnet.

Sacohen the front gives that illusion because it's so much bigger, the back motor side is the same size although the ribbing is spaced out much more there too, than of course the motor and impeller are much larger inside that section

Post #47 has a picture of the 3 of them & the 60 is definately larger than the 40.

that pic looks like the wp60 and 40 are the same size except for the front shroud on the 60 looks bigger which is why I was asking if they could be interchanged to make the 40 much wider flow.

Wp60

its a wp40 - with a bigger front clip, magnet, and power supply. They even reference an upgrade kit on the web site.

"3) We are the First Release Jebao WP-40 and WP-25 Distributor /WP-60, that mean any reference upgrade kit from Factory, we will release on First. "

Well I just got home and mine was waiting on front porch. I did take the 40 and 60 shrouds off and they are same size at the back with the front being a lot larger, but they will not interchange the 60 has 2 flat spots on the pump side and shroud itself so they will not mate up.I didn't have a lot of time to see what exactly was hitting but it appears the flat spots are not going to allow them to interchange. The propeller and magnet are a lot bigger which we probably already assumed. It is quite a bit heavier than the 40 again magnet size I would assume. I threw it in the tank and it will rock and roll , the noise level was pretty much the same as the wpb 40 and a bit quieter than a mp 40. I will do some more testing tomorrow after work.

BTW thanks for the pics Hodge. Seems like the impeller isn't that much bigger on the 60 but still pushes ton of water I bet.

I would get a 60 for sure , it will move some water. The propeller looks to be just a bit bigger and wider not a whole lot. I have some pics but it is hard to tell. I am really happy with these I am really thinking about trying their new dc pumps.

Does anyone know if the Variable speed power supply 12-24v made for wp-25/40 that is sold by fish-street would work to slow the speed down on the WP-60.

I don't think any one has actually tried them yet, but they should.

As should the LED dimmer controls.

All it is doing is reducing the amount of voltage the controller is getting causing it to run slower.

Does the WP-60 use the same power supply as the WP-40 or 25?

Even thought the WP-25 came out with a wal-art power supply it is interchangeable with the one from the WP-40. As is the controller.

I was wondering it the 60 was the same?
