Jebao WP60

Got mines for a week. In a tank 8x4x30" i would recommend two for better control and power. My one on the end of the tank on high power w1 would create waves around .75" to 1 inch at most. Dont get me wrong, it moves a lot of water but for a tank that size, two is best but i got one just to try it out in comparison to my already existing two koralias magnum8s. Still debating on ordering another since mines is fowlr. As far as noise, you can heard it as a cell phone vibrating...must be also the thin wall of my giberglass tank contributing too.

I also have an 8' tank it will not throw water of of a tank that long. I have 1 wp 60 and 2 - wp40 I am thinking of trying the anti sync. I am also thinking of ditching the 40s and going with 60s. It seems hard to get good flow in a large tank. I do like these pumps, have had 1 quit though.

How are you planning your anti sync? I built a Jarduino controller, and you can switch between pumps to what ever time duration you have them set to. The only problem with the Jarduino program is that is all it dose. I have read from postings regarding the Reef Angle, and you have more control, ie. speed ramp on/off times, ect. I have been running my Tunez pumps "on" 24/7 forever, so any change would be an improvement for me.lol. Please keep posting your experiences.---Rick

I have my WP40'S on anti sync thru my reef angel....

That's a bloody serious wave and my 2 × MP60 s cannot do anything like that in 260 gallon tank.

I am looking at a reef angel just not sure I want to learn all the coding. The 60 has a lot better magnet than the 40. That I do know.

I ordered two WP60's for my tank and am only able to use one because the wave is to strong. I love this pump it was either upgrade to the MP40 or the WP60 and with the tighter budget i went with the WP60 and love it. Obviously look wise the MP40's are beautiful no wire in the tank sleek design and look but price vs look price won for me at least for now until i design my dream tank.

Coding is not that hard.
The Wizard will do a lot of it for you, plus there are plenty of people to help.

Anyone know if the magnet on the wp60 works with 3/4" tank?

I have two WP40s on my 315 and they hold fine on 3/4" glass. I'm sure that the WP60s won't have a problem.

I'm thinking about order 2 of the WP60s. My plan would be to put a WP60 on each side towards the front and the WP40s along the sides towards the back. I'd then run one WP60 and the WP40 in the opposite corner to get a circular flow going for a 6 hour cycle and then rotate to the other pair for the next 6 hours to get the flow going in the opposite direction.

I have two WP 60's in my tank and I can make water come out to the floor with just one of them running when I put them both and the W1 mode it was too much and so I just keep both on the else mode and I have also two WP 40's in the tank and I turn them off and the WP 60 are doing just fine with my setup. My plan are to put the WP 40's on the back wall at each corner and angle them in and have the WP 60 on the side in the else mode and the WP 40 in the W1 mode to see what happens.

Received the Wp60 today for my 210 gallon. I have been using 2 vortech, mp40 on each side. The WP60 has ridiculous amount of flow. I shut off both mp40 and using one wp60, Maybe too much for some low flow corals in my tank with just one wp60. Im thinking about putting the 2 mp40's on one side on low flow and the wp60 on the other side. Its a 7 ft tank. WP60 is quiet. Happy so far.

Wp60 on 3/4 glass is no problem.
I have a wp 60 and 2 mp60 in my 300 dd. I feel the wp is still almost too much flow. It s way stronger than the vortechs. I think I will bring a wp40 from my 8 foot 200g tank an replace the wp60 with it. 2 mp60's and a wp60 is a bit much:)

I really do love my vortechs but unless they come down to a more realistic price in the future I can never again justify their cost against these jebao's. As long as I can get 1-2 years out of them I'm not looking back.
