Jebao WP60

Anyone have the link to the magnets people are using for 1" acrylic/glass?

Mine don't even think about staying put on 1" acrylic lol...

My tank is 1.25" acrylic and my wp-60 actually sticks without falling.

I pushed the suction cup hard to seat it. I pointed it with maybe a 10 degree angle down. The force of the pump keeps it in place. It would probably dislodge if I attempted to point it at a 45 degree angle. So far so good after 4 days.

I am currently running one WP-25 with two vortech MP-40's on a 75g tank

I use the 25 on W1 S1 for a wave. The flow is very narrow. I am thinking about getting a WP-60 and running it on W1 S3 which should put the flow at 10000 lph vs the WP-25's 8000lph, which should give a much wider and more gentle flow, is this correct?

I guess I could go with a WP-40 but figured the wider nozzle of the 60 would provide a more gentle flow using W1 S3

Okay so I picked up two of these thinking to swap out the MP60's. Main reason is the noise of the vortechs. I installed and the flow is incredible. Unfortunately the corals did not respond well. It appears the flow pattern is too intense and narrow too bad they didnt open it up another inch. Furthermore there is not way natively to turn the flow lower then S3. Will the apex mod allow you to turn the intense flow down?

Thanks

This is one pump on s3 on my 320 8 foot tank.

I don't have an Apex. but the answer is yes it should.

On the Reef Angel I can take it down to 30% of full power on my 40 and 25.

At least with the Reef Angel there is a point where if you take it to low the pump stops and will not start up again unless you unplug it and plug it back in again.

I have 2 60s and 2- 40s on else mode on my 8' tank. I have to have mine at least a foot down or they will suck air. On a side note what leds are you running I am sure contemplating a switch from mh.

Nice tank!

Hey offshore,...thanks for the info! Can you get the 48 off very easy when you put the two together?---Rick

Off the glass it's not a problem. It's more than enough to hold the powerhead on even if a large fish bumps into it.

I wouldn't recommend getting the magnet close to the powerhead without something in between though lol... or any other piece of metal :x

Sweet Tank! You have great husbandry skills.

Yes, the jebao is a boat motor which looks cool but ultimately the vortec has better all around flow (under and around). And is more controllable. Jebao is a cheap alternative and a good power head but the point is you get what you pay for

Well, got my WP60 today in the mail. Added it to the WP40 in my 210 fowlr. All I can say is wow! Turned off the wp40, put the wp60 on W1 S1, and within moments had a 1 1/2" standing wave in my 7' long tank! Just wow. Okay...backed it down to W2S1, turned the wp40 back on w1 (been there for months), and this tank has some serious flow!
