Hey guys I found some small jellyfish that hitch hiked into my refugium. They are not hydroids. I was wondering if these would be safe in the tank with my fish and coral. Sorry for the bad pictures , taken with my phone.
Do you think that it is possible for them to breed in the tank. Because every time I look there are more jellyfish. Right now there is about 7. The jellyfish have been there for about a month now.
There are invasive species although I don't know full details. A breeding population in the back of sealed overflows and refugiums has been done before with ease, however remember jellyfish are in no control which direction they're swimming in rather they "go with the flow" and sharp corners in none rounded tanks usually damage them this way.
These species get away with it much easier due to their smaller size slipping between filtration and powerheads.
Oh and one more thing.. don't touch their tentacles
